I read this solely based on the title, so I expected little more than a fluffy gimmick. But what I found was an endearing tale full of wit and exquisite wordplay... and just enough carnality to keep it on the erotic side of the Erotic Romance genre. If you like your smut on the brainy side, this little freebie is easily more worthy of your time than a lot of the barely-literate Kindle offerings that actually cost money.Product details

Words With Friends With Benefits edition by Jeremy Sterling Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Great read for exciting emotions to get stirred. Enjoyed the use of words and descriptions. Too short though. Would have liked more.
What a great little romance! Wonderful characters too. Would love for the game to continue. Great idea incorporating the scrabble game into the story .
A bit of a spoiler Creative plot about a friendship between a guy & gal ( and their scrabble). The guy has been in love with girl for years, but she sees him only as a friend so he accepts that. Later, only after both have had many broken relationships does she realizes they were meant for each other. Great plot and writing.
This author is SO talented and clever! The story is engaging, and the interplay between the two primary characters is outstanding.
Best friends since college, Max and Jasmine,. The author used the game of Scrabble and a very good use of the vocabulary to bring these friends together so that we could see as they became lovers. The scene when he picked her up after her messed up date was delightful. And I love the idea of the anti-Valentine Day. Absolutely amazing!
Several things set this story above its genre - a short story about best friends who fall in love. The writer takes time to show why these characters genuinely like and appreciate each other for reasons that go beyond physical attraction. They weren't always a romantic match - they had to grow into it over a decade. The twist on the normal plot is clever, the dialogue is wonderful and the dance of language they do is absolutely dazzling.
This story is all it promises - funny, eloquent, sweet, and even realistic. I really enjoyed how the two characters managed to intertwine their word choices in their Words With Friends games with their conversations or situations. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend it. I usually don't include quotes but this time I can't resist...
"Years from now, people will come into the room, and they will ask, ‘why is there a well- endowed purple elephant on the wall of your kitchen?’ and I will say ‘Max tried to paint a picture of an eggplant, and his stencil kept slipping.’ Your artistic ineptitude may entertain my dinner guests for years."
